Fish Swimming in a School – The Vitamin D Revolution

What do fish swimming in a school and the vitamin D revolution have in common? Through signaling a direction (quorum sensing), the school swims together as one group.  It is very difficult for one fish to cause a change in direction of the school.  So imagine a school made up of the medical industry, medical insurance industry, and government all swimming together. To be more accurate, fish swimming together for social reasons are defined as shoaling.  The social reason that the stated institutions swim together is about the health of the medical economy and not about the health of the population.  From Wikipedia, “The oddity effect posits that any shoal member that stands out in appearance will be preferentially targeted by predators. This may explain why fish prefer to shoal with individuals that resemble themselves. The oddity effect would thus tend to homogenize shoals.” Schools are usually fish of the same species while shoals are made up of fish with similar goals. I will simply use schools for this discussion.

Fish Schoolr2

Does the invisible hand act as a predator to the oddity effect?

I once asked a scientist in the Vitamin D revolution how change in the medical industry could be brought about to improve the health of the world’s population.  His answer was simple, “It will take leadership.” Leadership is one of those words that is hard to define in social groups.  We often mistake management for leadership.  This brings to mind a business consultant’s description of the difference in leadership versus management.  A group was asked to build a road across an island to the other side.  The bush clearers did their job extremely well.  The road builders followed in a coordinated manner. The guards spent their time keeping the predatory alligators away.  At some point the manager climbed a tree and told the group what a great job they were doing and that they were about half way across the island.  The leader climbed up a tree next to the manager and looked about.  “Wrong island,” he stated simply.

This is the state of the present medical industry.  The medical professionals are doing a great job with allopathic medicine.  This island is the wrong island.  Gradually we are approaching an island of holistic health, but no leader in government has stepped up to take on the responsibility of making the course change happen.  The fear is that the health of the population would decimate the medical economy and could even cause a worldwide recession.  The school of allopathic medicine for economic reasons has been the dominant school since the intervention of funding for this purpose that started in the early 20th Century. The reason the US is the leader in allopathic medicine is for the economy which commands more than eighteen percent of GDP.  That is, groups not working together in a great conspiracy of keeping a sick population that uses large amounts of money for everyone involved, but action as a group for economic purposes for each institution.

At some point the realization must come that the economy would be better with a healthy population.  If holistic instead of allopathic medicine is practiced, the population would be able to produce more than a population that is ill.  Dollars spent on healthcare could be directed to more beneficial efforts for the population like building the infrastructure. This of course would take a great deal of training as the jobs lost in the medical industry in the US could exceed eight million.

Our leaders in government are focused on elections and the money needed to stay in power.  Their empathy for the illness of the population is amoral. This is defined as evil in M. Scott Peck’s book “People of the Lie.”  When an institution acts for the purpose of maintaining the institution instead of concern for the individuals that it serves, the institution’s acts are evil.

It has now been sixteen months since the IOM’s error in the average amount of vitamin D required for bone health.  The IOM (renamed the National Academy of Medicine–most likely for fear of liability, since it is not a government agency it can be sued) stated that individuals only need 600 IU of vitamin D3 per day.  The error was discovered by the University of Alberta and later confirmed by UCSD and Creighton University.  The correct amount should have been over 7,000 IU of vitamin D3 per day.  The number of deaths because of this error since 2010 is in the millions.  Victims of the medical economy have suffered pain and died simply to maintain the medical economy.  Governments and the medical industry continue to ignore the science.

In a recent article, I wrote about pain in the population.  This great amount of pain is being treated as a symptom with pain meds. The cause is a lack of nutrients.  This lack of nutrients and the associated diseases could be treated using holistic medicine.  That is “food has caused our illness, it is food that will heal us.”  Dr. P. R. Raghavan.  I take a significantly larger amount of vitamins and minerals than is recommended by our institutions.  Through this higher intake, I have recovered from degenerative disc disease, severe sleep apnea, high blood pressure, three decades of pain, and a heart that was failing.  Doctors were telling me I didn’t know what I was talking about.  This included the eleven members of the medical profession in my own family.  After my cartilage healed and my metabolic processes reached homeostasis, I was free of pain and happy.

Presently, the school of allopathic-medicine fishes are swimming in the strong currents of the Niagara River.  As a group, we are headed toward the falls.  As leaders try to announce to the group of the danger, they are picked off one-by-one.  If the group tries to change direction, the strong currents of the economy works against their efforts.  Will we plunge down the falls into the abyss, or will we be strong enough to overcome the strong currents of the economy.  Truly, a strong leader is needed.  One of position and power that can overcome the “quorum sensing” of the economy and who can avoid the oddity effect.  Swimming against the currant and pointing to holistic healing –Pandemic Survivor

Inhibition of Deadly Viruses by a Food Substance

New research shows that an effective antiviral can be made from a food substance.  Policosanol made into a nanoemulsion has the possibility of becoming a significant tool to inhibit the spread of some very serious viruses that include: Ebola, Dengue Fever, H1N1, and SARS.  Published in the April 2016 edition of the Journal of the Science of Healing Outcomes is the paper, “Inhibition of Dengue and Other Enveloped Viruses by Metadichol®, a Novel Nano Emulsion Lipid,” by P. R. Raghavan, PhD. (dengue-paper – AUTHORS PRE PRINT COPY)

In this paper the author shows case studies of dengue fever recovery of a female 34 and a male 35 in just a few days without any drugs. Also shown in the paper are positive results of in vitro testing for dengue fever as well as many other viruses.  It is the hope that Metadichol® acts toward the other viruses as it has toward dengue fever.  Imagine the less fear that would have been developed during the recent outbreak of Ebola. About 40% of the world’s population is exposed to dengue viral infections with 50 to 100 million infections each year and 22,000 deaths.

Even more important to the average person is the hope that Nano-policosanol is an effective antiviral toward the flu.  Imagine the impact if we could recover very swiftly from the flu with an antiviral that is very effective without side effects.  The very important highlight of policosanol is that it is nontoxic to the human body.  We consume policosanol every day in our foods.  The Nano-emulsion version is easier to absorb and become effective in our immune response. Unfortunately, the part of the plants where policosanol is concentrated is usually thrown away as waste.  Have we lost the avenue toward better immune systems by not chewing the husks from food?

There are over 1,400 pathogens identified to cause disease in humans. There are many more mutating to adjust to an-every changing environment.  How many times in the past year have you heard someone say our use of antibiotics is creating new dangerous bacteria or the vaccine is only 40% effective against this year’s flu?  This is to say nothing to the damage that antibiotics and vaccines may be doing to our microbiota which represents over 100 trillion cells in the human body or ten times human cells.  The use of food with its vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and genetic expressing processes is a natural way of boasting the immune system that has evolved over the ages with our environment.  This may be the answer in our ever persistent battle against pathogens.  We cannot create enough vaccines or anti-pathogen formulas to handle the constant surge of pathogens.

In conversations with the author, Dr. P. R. Raghavan, it was interesting to learn that the finding for the use of Metadichol® against viruses arose out of the use as a supplement. “Chinese and Indians have used herbs and foods to treat illnesses for hundreds of years. My experience in years of developing toxic drugs that do not work, forced me to look for a better alternative. Knowing the importance of vitamin D on human health has ultimately led me to the invention of Policosanol Nanoparticles.” Metadichol® can act along vitamin D pathways and help to restore proper immune health. He continues, “this is not surprising given that policosanol can be considered an open chain form of vitamin D. Policosanol’s main ingredient is Octacosanol which has 28 carbon atoms and vitamin D3 also has 27 Carbon atoms and both are long chain alcohols.”

Potato Skin

Dried Potato Skins

Metadichol has been shown to be effective for many biomarkers (US patents 8,722,093 and 9,006,292) in the nanoemulsion form, and for viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites as well. Dr. Raghavan states that he has some very interesting in vitro results for all of these pathogens. He also states that it is very effective in wound healing. “This is not surprising given the fact that dried potato skin was used for skin healing in India. It turns out that potato skin is a good source of the ingredients of Metadichol. In addition, Metadichol also works against Malaria, a parasite, and bacteria like MRSA (see US patent 9,006,292). Recently completed work also has shown that Metadichol inhibits in vitro T-Brucei, a parasite that causes sleeping sickness, T-Cruzi that causes Chagas disease, and Leishmania, a parasite carried by sand flies that leads to Leishmaniosis with symptoms of ulcers of the skin, mouth, nose, etc. All these parasites affect many developed countries in the tropics.  Metadichol® is the only one known in vitro to be active against bacteria, parasites and viruses. This allows researchers for the first time a simple solution that is ready to be tested and deployed world wide to prevent these viruses, bacteria and parasites that affect a large swath of humanity.”

You will have to forgive me, but this reminds me of the explorer movies of the jungle and suddenly there is an illness or injury. The medicine man chews up some leaves and spits it into a poultice.  The person with the illness is healed in just a day or so.  Great stuff for the movies, but there must have been some basis for the fiction. Maybe we have arrived at a time when nutraceuticals are more effective that drugs.

Pain, Pain Meds, and Disability

Americans are dying from pain meds and suffering more pain because of pain meds.  We not just talking about illegal drugs like: heroin, methamphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, etc. We can add to that prescription pain meds, in particular, the opiate meds.  We can also add to that over-the-counter pain meds, NSAIDS.  Why are we using so many pain meds?  It is because of the pain created by the food we eat, the lack of nutrition, and the choices we have made in medicine.  This leads to an extremely high incidence of chronic illness and thus, PAIN.

pain

Around the beginning of the 20th Century, money was funded away from nutritional medicine and toward patent medicine.  This created a population of chronically ill.  To resolve the pain of chronic illness, the population has turned to pain meds to treat symptoms and not the actual disease.  This has created many types of social problems as well as created an economic nightmare for healthcare.  Dr. Mercola Article on how this happened.

A lot of the pain comes from deteriorated cartilage.  But the meds that are used to treat pain, prevent the repair of cartilage.  Baby boomers have taken large amounts of NSAIDS that have caused deterioration of cartilage, and the need for joint and back surgeries.

“In human studies, NSAIDs have been shown to accelerate the radiographic progression of OA of the knee and hip. For those using NSAIDs compared to the patients who do not use them, joint replacements occur earlier and more quickly and frequently. The author notes that massive NSAID use in osteoarthritic patients since their introduction over the past forty years is one of the main causes of the rapid rise in the need for hip and knee replacements, both now and in the future.” – See more at Journal of Prolotherapy.

This of course is to say nothing of the number of deaths, kidney failures, heart failures, bleeding of the stomach and gut, and liver failures from over-the-counter meds.  All caused by taken more and more meds to prevent pain.  We have the greatest medical system in the world when it comes to treating acute illness.  But with chronic pain, we fail miserably.  Add to this the use of prescription meds and illegal meds and the social and economic issues continue.  I feel your pain and experienced pain for three decades before researching to find that it was just nutritional issues.

When it comes to nutrition, it seems that we are left to our own resources to find cures.  Without the use of the internet and the many professionals that reported on the issues, I would most likely be dead.  I am only one out of ten Americans over sixty that is not on a prescription med.  Begin your research into nutritional healing.  The most of it has to do with not getting enough vitamins and minerals.

This issue cannot be resolved simply by eliminating the use of pain meds with more guidelines for doctors.  The only way that we as a society can overcome this issue is for our institutions to reach a higher level of moral standards.  By that, I mean institutions should adopt standards (yes, specifically Health and Human Services) and educate the population on the research that has already been done to relieve chronic illness and pain with nutrition.  It is not our genome that is at fault.  It is the nutritionally and emotionally stimulated epigenome that needs repair.

Nano Policosanol Study Shows Increased Vitamin D

Recently a clinical trial was started with 32 patients with many medical issues. P. R. Raghavan, Ph.D. has provided me with some of the initial results of the trail after thirty days.  There are sixty markers for health being used in the study.  The patients are being given 5 mg of per day of Metadichol (nano policosanol) and the markers being tested periodically.

The very interesting thing is that the vitamin D levels (25(OH)D) of the patients have improved by 38.2%.  The baseline for the trial was an average of 12.75 ng/ml.  After thirty days, the average of the group increased to 17.77 ng/ml.  The following graph shows the results of 31 patients with one of the patients left out as there was no change in vitamin D. This gives the result of an increase for 31 patients at 39.4%.  There was no supplementation of vitamin D or increased exposure to sunshine to account for this increase.

PastedGraphic-1

In Dr. Raghavan’s findings for Metadichol, he has shown through nuclear receptor studies that Metadichol can act as an agonist, antagonist, and as an inverse agonist for the vitamin D receptor.  In conversations with Dr. Raghavan, he believes that Metadichol acts in place of vitamin D or as a helper to make the action of vitamin D more effective.  He states that the vitamin D receptor is like the conductor of an orchestra to allow other nuclear receptors to properly react for health. I asked him how the nano policosanol knows how to control the receptors.  He states that he believes it is through the communication of the genes in food with the human genome.

The details of the complexity of nano policosanol interaction with the human genome is yet to be completely determined.  However, many thousands have taken Metadichol as a supplement in Asia for over a year with only positive results of health being reported.  Policosanol is the waxy aliphatic alcohol that is found on the sun exposed portion of many plants.  The Cubans have found in studies that policosanol is very effective in reducing total cholesterol and triglycerides and increasing HDL, the more desirable form of cholesterol for health.  In addition, Dr. Raghavan has shown that Metadichol affects many of the markers for health which include blood sugar and insulin response.  We will know more when the trial is completed.  The Chinese have allowed the product to be marketed as boosting the immune system. It is particularly effective for wound healing and Dr. Raghavan also plans to show how Metadichol affects metabolic age.

November 2 is Vitamin D Day

I started to take vitamin D supplements on November 4, 2004.  I can say that I have experienced nothing but health.  Our institutions are far behind the science on this important vitamin.  But, it was not only vitamin D that I discovered I was deficient. It was all vitamins in particular, natural vitamin A not beta carotene, magnesium, natural vitamin E, sulfate, and natural folate not folic acid.

Please take time to watch the video for taking action for vitamin D Day. For more information, please visit the Vitamin D Council – vitamindcoucil.org  and Grassroots Health grassrootshealth.net.

Dose Response of Vitamins and Minerals

How much of which vitamins and minerals should we supplement with is always the question.  It really depends on your diet.  Following the guidelines of the National Institute of Health is very daunting.  How are the guidelines developed?  Is the recommended amount the correct amount for me?

vitamins2

The guidelines are usually developed based on the Estimated Average Requirement (EAR) from studies with scanty data or from studies with limitations in addressing the questions. Then the Required Dietary Allowance (RDA) is determined by moving the amount two standard deviations to reach 97.5% of the population.  As examples, consider vitamin C and vitamin D.  If the requirement cannot be based on science, then it is just a WAG called Adequate Intake (AI).

Guidelines for vitamin D were last issued in December 2010.  The guidelines were stated specifically for bone disease or the amount needed to prevent rickets and osteoporosis. However, there was an egregious statistical error made.  The Institute of Medicine (IOM) stated that 600 IU per day was adequate for most age groups and weight.  It was later found that the IOM used averages for their regression analysis, which lead to the 600 IU per day.  When using individual data, it was found that the amount should have been 10 to 15 times higher.  This was confirmed by Creighton University and UCSD in February 2015.  The government has taken no action to correct this error.  The point, ignoring the statistical error, is that the IOM only considered bone health and not the other benefits of having an adequate amount of vitamin D.

A similar statement of need for vitamin C places the RDA at about 45 to 90 mg/d depending on age and gender.  This amount was consider enough to avoid having scurvy.  No consideration was given for the other diseases that vitamin C can help to prevent:

  • Cardiovascular Disease
  • Cancer
  • Alzheimer’s
  • Cataracts
  • Gout
  • Improved Immunity
  • Reduced Mortality Rate

Bats, guinea pigs, and higher primates, which include humans, do not synthesize vitamin C.  If we consider the dog and goat, the amount of vitamin C synthesized is amazing.  Dogs make about 18 mg/d per pound body weight.  A fifty-pound dog then makes about 900 mg/d.  A 154 lb. adult goat will make about 13,000 mg/day.  If we find an amount per pound body weight that the goat makes, we find a huge number at 84 mg/lb./day. This was the amount that the researcher Linus Pauling thought was correct and he consumed over 12,000 mg/day.  He died at the age of 93.  If we approximate the amount for humans at 180 lbs., we find that we should be getting about 3,500 mg/day.  This is the amount that I normally supplement or about 2 to 4 grams per day.

“My advice that you take larger amounts of C and other vitamins is predicated upon new and better understanding of the role of these nutrients — they are not drugs — in the chemical reactions of life.” – Written in Pauling’s book, “How to Live Longer and Feel Better”

“The best doctor gives the least medicine.”  Benjamin Franklin

It only makes sense, given the above discussion of amounts, that the correct amount of vitamins and minerals are critical to health.  Why then does the government only make RDAs as a distinction of gender and age?  Of course, they are trying to reach an amount so that you do not have to do a calculation when trying to determine an adequate amount of vitamins and minerals for health.  They use averages.  This led to the error on vitamin D.  Are we so poorly educated that we cannot do a simple multiplication? Why can’t the government simply state that we need an amount based on weight.  I have seen many discussions about this issue in the IOM documents.  However, it is mainly to stay with the “normal nomenclature.”  It would be much easier to simply state an amount per mass and eliminate gender.  Just think how much easier it would be if we stated vitamin D at 40 IU per pound body weight per day and vitamin C at 18 mg per pound body weight per day.  It doesn’t fit the science claim the researchers that hold patents for prescription drugs.

The most recent foray into drugs versus nutrients that I have seen is the use of a drug to eliminate opioid constipation.  Two fallacies come to mind.  First, there should not be the need for opioid drugs to reduce pain, especially chronic pain, if the patient was getting enough nutrients.  I know this from three decades of pain.  Second, to use a drug instead of an adequate amount of magnesium in an absorbable form is outrageous.  A simple supplementation with magnesium citrate or soaking in a bath of Epsom salts (if you are vitamin D3 replete) should take care of the issue. In addition, this would improve your magnesium status to support the 300+ enzymes associated with magnesium.  The major benefit of using magnesium to overcome constipation from opioids is that the side effects are health. With drugs for constipation, you have the adverse reactions of abdominal pain, diarrhea (if you overdo magnesium this may be an issue), nausea, flatulence, vomiting, and headache. Krispin discusses how much magnesium per pound body weight is required.  Why hasn’t the IOM or the NIH given us this simple guide?

Your take away is that vitamins and minerals are stated in an amount for diseases that have historically plagued us and not for the other benefits of health.  Examples:

  • Beriberi (B1, thiamine)
  • Pellagra (B3, niacin)
  • Rickets (D3)
  • Scurvy (C)
  • Hypocobalaminemia – deterioration of the spinal cord and brain (B12, B6, and folate or B9)
  • Paresthesia – pins and needles in hands and feet (B5 Pantothenic Acid)
  • Night Blindness (A)
  • Cretinism (Iodine)

Think about jeans for a minute.  What if we picked the average size and the style with the minimum amount and type of fabric that would satisfy social norms as dictated by the government.  Would anybody wear them? –Maybe in North Korea.

Averages are not a great way to determine the adequate amount of vitamins and minerals that you need.  You are not average.  You are exceptional with a body designed for health. Moreover, the vitamins and minerals do not work by themselves.  It is the combination of an adequate amount of all vitamins and minerals working synergistically in human biology, which allows the body to stay well.  – Pandemic Survivor

Metadichol in Southeast Asia

A video of people using Metadichol as brand name Polilex has been posted to you tube by Polilex. This is a very remarkable video. Typically what you see in videos is young people talking about how wonderful things are. In this video, it is mostly old people that are suffering from an array of chronic diseases.

It is amazing to think that something as simple as an emulsion of the waxy substance found on most plants leaves can have such effects. As we move forward in our understanding of nutrients from food, I believe there will be amazing results. How modern foods are processed is of extreme importance to our health.

The video is high quality but the English subtitles are sometimes hard to read.

The State of Health in the US

SMMIt has become apparent to me over the last several decades that manipulation of health and life expectancy for economic purposes is real. I have thought for most of the last ten years that it was just incompetence on the part of doctors, failure by our government to properly manage their role, and lack of education on the part of the populace. Yes it is still some of all of these combined, however, it has become apparent that there is a real conspiracy happening. It is being carried out simply for the gain of politicians and their ilk as lifelong employees of government who believe by controlling your life; they are giving you a better America. We come together as a people to form government to help protect the interests of the population as a whole, not for the few. If government believes they are presently protecting it for the many, then we have a serious problem on our hands as thousands suffer needlessly and die at the wish of our politicians.

We live in the greatest country in the world and I love America. I am not discussing here the heart-felt efforts of the many physicians who have worked sacrificially to save lives from many forms of disease or the tireless work of researchers to develop treatments. I am speaking primarily to the people at the top of decision making of our institutions who have intentionally allowed death and suffering through their policies. Health and Human Services was even brave enough to state this policy as part of their nine principles of operation in the 2000s. Of the nine principles, markets before mandates, was number four, and to value life was number nine, the last.

Politicians and large institutions, (health insurers are the worst of the worst as they profit from your suffering and the more you suffer the better their sales, and only fifty cents of every dollar you give them comes back as payment to providers–but, believe the politicians, that they are growing our economy through manipulation of health insurance) are using the complexity of life and medicine to simply manipulate outcomes. The main tool of this obfuscation is to promote the use of patent medicine over the use of nutrition to allow the body to heal. Patent medicines are used simply to treat symptoms with the hope that the body will heal on its own. The only real exceptions to this are antibiotics and some vaccines. But now, even the vaccine market is being manipulated for higher sales. We use screening to find cancer earlier in its state of development and chemo and cutting for treatment to make the claim that we are giving increased life when our death rate from cancer has not declined at all. It is plain to see that the ones benefitting from this misdirection are not the patients and the payers of expensive research and treatments — you. Of course, if you are receiving income from the health sector, as one in five of every American, then you too are benefitting from this treachery.

The importance of economics over life started in the nineteenth century and became magnified in the twentieth century as patent medicines were held up as more important than nutrition for healing. This is certainly true for emergency medicine, but very damaging for treating chronic disease and the hope of a long life. Now, you will see many ads state that nutrients are not for treatment, diagnosis, or cure of any disease to stay within the confines of our politician’s laws. I suspect if medical practice was changed to use patent medicine for emergencies and nutrition for chronic disease, life expectancy would increase to over ninety years old. A good life to a ripe old age, your period of suffering would be very brief.

If a visit to the doctor for a chronic concern started with tests and diagnosis evolved around which nutrients your were most deficient, there would not be the need of almost any patent medicines. “Well let’s see Mr. Patient, it looks like you are not getting enough protein and balance of protein and fats so that you will heal. Also, you need more greens for folate to help generate stem cells and you need to spend more time in the sun for vitamin D. Also I have found several mineral deficiencies which can be corrected by changing your eating habits to allow for more variety. If you don’t want to change your eating habits, then I can simply write you a script for this combination of vitamins and minerals based on my testing to improve your health.” Sound weird? It is only because your mindset has been manipulated toward patent drugs.

The state of medicine, interwoven with economics, is now so complex and complicated; it will take an extreme effort to make the change.   Currently the most egregious actions are the hiding of research outcomes for vaccines that increase the rate of autism (the CDC admitted to this over eighteen months ago) and the serious error that was made for vitamin D RDI by the National Academy of Medicine (formerly the Institute of Medicine) in 2010. Just these two things are causing significant suffering, causing thousands of deaths each day, and significantly impacting healthcare cost. And yet, no action has been taken. The press is conflicted over the loss of revenue if they report on the errors. What are you going to do about? – Pandemic Survivor

Memorial to Those Who Have Died From Vitamin D Deficiency

FF5r

There has been a huge amount of research that says we as a population of sun deprived people are dying of vitamin D deficiency. I am extremely sorry to the family members and survivors that have lived the grief of loss. My personal experience of loss is heart wrenching. As I researched for this article, I not only thought of the grief of the survivors, but also the pain and suffering from preventable disease that is caused by vitamin D deficiency. This is to say nothing of the economic loss of the sufferers and the economic gains of those caring for the suffering.

The Institute of Medicine (now the National Academy of Medicine, I think they changed their name because of shame) announced that the RDI for vitamin D was only 600 IU/d. Now, three different universities have confirmed a statistical error. The correct amount for the RDI should have been over 7,000 IU/d of vitamin D3. If we look at only the death, what has the result been?

If the epidemiologists are correct, then there are about 350,000 premature deaths from vitamin D deficiency in the US every year or about 1,000 deaths per day. This is like five plane crashes every day with 200 people on each plane. Since the National Academy of Medicine released its findings for vitamin D with the factor-of-over-10 error, there have been 1,697 days. This is from the release date of the information on November 30, 2010 until today, July 24, 2015. There have been 1,697,000 deaths during this period from vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D deficiency represents about 14% of total deaths in the US.

US population leading causes of death:

  • Number of deaths: 2,596,993
  • Death rate: 821.5 deaths per 100,000 population
  • Life expectancy: 78.8 years
  • Infant Mortality rate: 5.96 deaths per 1,000 live births

Number of deaths for leading causes of death:

  • Heart disease: 611,105
  • Cancer: 584,881
  • Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 149,205
  • Accidents (unintentional injuries): 130,557
  • Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 128,978
  • Alzheimer’s disease: 84,767
  • Diabetes: 75,578
  • Influenza and Pneumonia: 56,979
  • Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis: 47,112
  • Intentional self-harm (suicide): 41,149

Every day that government delays taking action means there are another one thousands deaths. The agony of the pain and suffering from the loss says that it is time for government to take action. Is the money sustaining our economy from the health sector more important than the lives of those who have died? Your government seems to think so. I am extremely sorry for your loss. – Pandemic Survivor.

My Heart Aches — Vitamin D vs. Measles Vaccine

There has been one death from measles since 2003, but how many deaths have there been because of poor nutrition since 2003 or just vitamin D deficiency alone? Relax, kick back, and consider the possibilities as you read.

Life Balance

My heart aches as I think of the thousands that are dying premature deaths. Preventable death, our medical profession says, is worth the money. In fact, many of the life-saving drugs have been only able to extend life by a few months, weeks, and even days, but has the death rate really decreased from chronic disease? Dying people are asked to make the decision. The decision usually is about spending the money in trade for a few days of “quality” life. What if the question was not about the money, but only if you have the proper nutrition. When offering a dying friend or relative nutrition, you get treated by the medical profession as if you are about to perform a criminal act. Your response to this onslaught is that your cared-for-loved one was just thirsty and you wanted to give them a class of water.

We have reached a breaking point in our understanding of life versus what is important for the greater good. Science and technology have moved along. Unfortunately, greed has remained the same in our culture forever. Knowledge of how to save life has been hidden and manipulated for the greater good as determined by our institutions. The population is believed to be too stupid to understand the importance of maintaining an active economy, and a manipulated economy, which has put us in debt for trillions of dollars, almost to the point of failure like Greece. Greed shows up in crafty ways to hide the theft from the people of both life and money.

We don’t want it to be about the money and increase the amount of insurance that we have. We want the security of knowing that whatever disease is stalking us, we have the means to provide the best available. Hidden from us is what is the best available for health and wealth of the individual. Healthcare is always about an expensive new drug, or because it is no longer readily available, even an expensive old drug; always trying to manipulate supply and demand to get the highest margins available. I had a relative that was dying from cancer and it was obvious that he only had a few days or hours at best. He had already started the death rattle as my Dad used to say. The doctor’s response was to offer him a drug that was used regularly in the 1960s, but now was not readily available. The cost of the drug was $50,000 per day. You just can’t make this stuff up. The doctor knew my relative had means and was willing to offer him an imagined time of a few weeks or days of quality life. My relative’s response to this was, “Holy Moly!” Even on his deathbed, he knew he was being scammed.

It is time to take back both our health and financial resources. We have gone too long with the understanding the security of health insurance is more important than our understanding of nutrition. Now it may be hard for you to hold two seemingly unlike things in balance. How can we balance medical/medical insurance industrial complex with nutrition? The interesting thing is our institutions have done that for you because of their belief that you are too stupid to understand. As kept cows, you keep repeating, “Thank you master.” The master treats you with great care while at the same time reaching into your pocket and taking your wallet. Yes, I have just described a mugging. The medical complex gets about half of every dollar you spend on health care and the health insurance complex gets about half. This way, they become equal partners in crime so that one does not rat out the other. Don’t get me wrong. I think we have the best emergency medical system in the world and I’m very grateful for that. If not, I wouldn’t be alive from a ruptured appendix, hypoxia from sleep apnea (which I’ve cured with supplements), two back surgeries to keep me from being paralyzed (I avoided several more with supplements), multiple infections, and two heat strokes.

We recently had the first death from measles in the US since 2003. Think about all of the press you have read about forced measles vaccines and people’s rights to refuse the vaccine. Hold this in opposition to the very inexpensive supplementation of vitamin D. The IOM said 600 IU/d was all that you need in 2010. In November 2014, it was found, when using the same data as the IOM, that they had made a statistical error. The correct amount should have been over 7,000 IU/d as confirmed by three universities. Epidemiologists have said that all we need to stop 37,000 premature deaths in Canada per year is a 25(OH)D level above 40 ng/ml (about 3,000 more IU/d than the present intake from all sources [estimated from grassrootshealth.net chart]) . If we generalize the Canadian deaths for the US population, it is about 400, 000 premature deaths per year for North America.

Where is the press on this issue? How many premature deaths have there been since November 2014 when the error was found? How many premature deaths have there been since 2010 when the error was made? How would all of this affect the health economy since 2010 (generalizing for North America from the above referenced paper, about $150 billion per year or about $750 billion in reduced cost minus the cost of supplementation and two million premature deaths)? Was it really an error? What about the combination of vitamins and minerals? How far off is the recommendation for all supplements and the combination of supplements? My heart aches for those who don’t understand nutrition. My heart aches for the doctors (I really feel for the doctors who are swimming along comfortably as in a school of fish.) who were taught that vitamins and minerals will not cure, prevent, treat, or diagnose disease (On how many supplement bottles have you seen that statement?). Moreover, the US press doesn’t think there is a story here as they worry about one death from measles in the US since 2003 and whether you have been vaccinated.

If you are concerned about this issue, do what I have done – contact your congressional representative. Here is a link to help you find your representative or http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/. Visiting in person is better than a written letter or an email if you would like to take the time. After all, the purpose of the House is to hear the voice of the people. Below is my constituent request. Feel free to print a copy and its links to take to your representative. – Pandemic Survivor

Constituent Request to Representative Mark Walker:
The Department of HHS needs to be investigated by Congress for not quickly responding to the finding that the RDA for vitamin D, as established by the Institute of Medicine (National Academy of Medicine as of July 1), was off by a factor of more than 10. This tragic error may have resulted in as much as hundreds of thousands premature deaths per year and has added a significant burden to the health economy.

  1. J. Veugelers, PhD, Health Canada and the University of Alberta, first reported this error in a published peer reviewed journal paper in November 2014. It was confirmed in a published paper by UCSD and Creighton University in February 2015. To my knowledge, the IOM or HHS or its agencies have taken no action. More details: Dr. Robert Heaney http://blogs.creighton.edu/heaney/2015/02/13/the-iom-miscalculated-its-rda-for-vitamin-d/

The vitamin D market has been manipulated for the profit of the health industry since the 1930s (see attached article for details – Vitamin D for Profits – 1923 to 1946). Fear of the sun has caused a huge decline in health in the US. It is now time to take action to stop the immorality of sustaining and growing the largest segment of the economy from the illness of individuals (see attached Advocacy Letter from Allan Markin ).
