Metadichol as Mediator of Inflammatory Response

Note to readers: This article is to notify researchers to the possibilities of Metadichol as a mediator of the AHR-Nrf2 pathway for inflammatory response. Metadichol’s action on nuclear receptors is hugely significant. The importance of Metadichol’s effect is in regulating inflammatory response to outside agents. Outside agents may include drugs, manmade toxins, or even response to light (think sunburn and/or retinal protection). In this paper, it is shown how Metadichol may be significant in treating chemo resistant cancer.

Metadichol ®. A Novel Inverse Agonist of Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor (AHR) and NRF2 Inhibitor
Journal of Cancer Science and Therapy

Raghavan, P R
Nanorx Inc., Chappaqua, New York, USA,

Abstract
Metadichol ® a novel nano-emulsion of lipid alcohols is an Inverse agonist of Vitamin D Receptor (VDR). In this communication, we show that Metadichol is an inverse agonist of the nuclear receptor AHR (Aryl Hydrocarbon receptor) and an inhibitor of NRF2 (Nuclear factor (erythroid-derived 2)-like 2)) and is a transcription factor that is ubiquitously expressed at low levels in all human organs and regulates a primary cellular defense mechanism, tight regulation to maintain cellular homeostasis. AHR is highly expressed in a broad panel of tumors, AHR is induced by 2,3,7,8-tetrachloride-benzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) Metadichol® as a inverse agonist against AHR could be potentially useful in the treatment of such diseases. Strong in vivo evidence suggests that TCDD can stimulate cross-talk between AHR and Nrf2. The constitutive up regulation of Nrf2 signaling appears to drive the cellular proliferation and resistance to chemotherapy in various cancers. Therefore, pharmacological inhibition of Nrf2 by Metadichol ® holds promise as a therapeutic strategy in chemo resistant forms of cancer.

Terror at the VA

VA HealthThirty months at war in Vietnam. Twenty-three years in the military. The horror of war imprinted in your brain to be replayed at any time. Triggered by almost any incidence, it comes at you like the ballistics at the end of a twelve-inch gun. Emotional trauma so strong the only place you can cope is in the structure of the military. How would you expect to be treated after decades of service protecting your country? You would like to think that our veterans are treated with great dignity and the respect they deserve.

We often hear horror tales of how our veterans are treated by VA Hospitals and healthcare in general. It usually involves waiting times. Recently there was the story of the nurse who was so occupied with a game she let a heart patient die on her watch. I have passed this off as local occasional incidents no different than our accepted medical treatment, but the problem is much more widespread. I got permission from my brother to tell his story of malpractice the VA. He gave me permission if I stick to the facts. I have waited three years to relay this story as he does not want to be bothered with legal action against a country that he fought to protect. Unfortunately, this is not a made-up Halloween story to just horrify you.

It was getting late at night and the pain continued to grow in Brother’s abdomen and radiating to his back. What has happened now? Bad food that has turned his gut up-side-down? Brother decided to return to Fayetteville, NC to make a life for himself after his service. He was never married as he did not want to burden another with emotional trauma delivered by military life. Only supported by a few friends and family members that did not forget him after three decades intermittent contact, he considered Fayetteville a safe-haven because of its military nature. Brother’s temperature had continued to increase over the last hour from 101 to 103. He called his friend Buddy to take him to VAMC emergency department.

After medical personnel had examined him at the emergency room, Brother was told that the pain was coming from a hip that was damaged from combat and military life. He was told to go home, take two aspirin for his temperature, and he would be just fine. Brother knew this was wrong. When you are deathly sick, signals alarm in your body that cannot be ignored. He pleaded with the medical personnel that something was deadly wrong, but they passed him off like a fly had lit on their ham sandwich.

Brother instructed Buddy to take him to Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC) on the Fort Bragg military complex. After emergency medical personnel examined him, he was immediately catharized. He had kidney stones blocking his bladder. The pain in his abdomen was from a swollen bladder that was about to rupture. His temperature spike was determined to be coming from a kidney and urinary infection. After further examination, it was determined that he had pyelonephritis. This deadly disease can kill you within hours or days as the bacteria spreads into your blood stream. He was put on IV antibiotic and kept in the hospital for over a week. Later x-rays showed that he had multiple kidney stones that needed to be removed from his kidney.

If Brother had complied with VAMC emergency, I would now be visiting his grave. Are directions coming from the top that former soldiers are to be managed in a way that fits a budget? Managed in a way that soldiers nearing late-life increases in benefits should be allowed to die to control cost? Is the VA in Fayetteville over-burdened with too many returning soldiers? Are government unions protecting employees to the point that incompetence has become a way of life? Whatever happened to duty, honor, country—General MacArthur is shuddering in disgust. President Donald J. Trump, clean up this cesspool!

(In research for this article, I found this notice from September 2014 or the period when Brother’s emergency occurred. Get with it Elizabeth Goolsby, Medical Center Director, you’ve got to be better than this. If you are a veteran living in Fayetteville, do not use the VAMC.) –Mark Pegram contact: vitamindmark at gmail

Artful Addiction—Sugar, Flour, Insulin, Leptin

Leptin Insulin CartoonThe issue is that modern medicine does not determine if you are nutrient deficient.  Modern medicine is more interested in using drugs to give immediate relief and not the long-term solution of healing. And then, the side effects of the drugs kill you. The need for drugs must be driven by a large market of ill people. The sugar addiction/fat elimination has provided this opportunity.

When I was growing up on the farm, I used to eat five to eight thousand calories per day.  This was necessary for the long arduous hours spent in labor.  Most days were sixteen-hour days. With this high intake of calories, imagine the amount of nutrients that I was getting.  Of course, there was not any processed food.  It all came from our efforts in the garden, pasture, hunting, and fishing. Even the bread we ate came from the wheat that was grown on our farm. Our cash crop was tobacco, but my parents were smart enough to forbid us from using it.  In a sense, we were just like modern medicine in not embracing what gives us health. Instead, we embraced a healthy farm economy. America was founded on the income of tobacco and alcohol. (This link is an interesting story about the interaction of my family, over several generations, with alcohol. Published at the Dead Mule School of Southern Literature.)

In my ten thousand-or-so hours of research, I have found that we are all deficient in most minerals and vitamins. I, like Linus Pauling and Hippocrates (a couple of millenniums of understanding), have concluded that all chronic disease comes from nutrient deficiencies.  The number one chronic disease in the US is obesity. I am fat as a hog raised on molasses feed just waiting for the slaughter.  I’m am addicted to the evil of processed sugar in its many forms.  We have created this epidemic of chronic obesity though our efforts in reducing fat.  I don’t believe that the researchers thought fat was bad for us. I believe that the money derived from a sick population was very addictive. It takes a large sick population to have twenty percent of its gross domestic product to be from medicine.  (Simple explanation of how increased sugar intake produces more insulin which blocks leptin and causes us to eat too much by Dr. Robert Lustig, UCtv.)

We have recently discovered that insulin increase blocks our hey-we-are-full hormone, leptin.  We have found that eating any dense carbs and sugar increases appetite. How long have we known this bit of extremely important information for our health? Leptin suppression was useful when we were hunters and gatherers as we gained weight that allowed us to live through the lean times. The Inuit tribes knew best as their major calorie source was fat. Linus Pauling in the 1970s with his studies of prisoners (complete control of food source) knew that fat did not increase cholesterol, that sugar was the primary reason for the increase.

Even though I’m a fat hog, my health is great. I did one of those test for actual age and came out at mid-thirties. Not bad for a sixty-six-year-old. It is all the vitamins and minerals that I use through supplementation. Now that I understand the insulin/leptin response, the avoidance of sugar and flour are prime in my diet.  However, this elimination of an addiction is going to be difficult.  I just recently went on the Whole30 diet and lost twelve pounds in a month. My body functioned just fine without addictive items.  In this diet, you eliminate grains, alcohol, dairy, and legumes for thirty days. I discovered that I was lactose intolerant during the trial. How many addictions and allergies do you have?  Stay tuned as I begin the journey of a healthy diet. –Pandemic Survivor (Can I escape the obesity epidemic? Present BMI 29.5 – 6-2, 230)

Metadichol® Induces High Levels of Vitamin C

Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, has shown a remarkable ability to reduce disease. Benefits include the prevention and treatment of scurvy, common cold, boost the immune system, lower hypertension, treatment of lead toxicity, cataracts, treatment of cancer, stroke, elasticity of skin, wound healing, and asthma. Metadichol® has shown it can help maintain high levels of plasma vitamin C without oral supplementation of vitamin C. Metadichol® is a nanoemulsion of policosanol or the waxy substance that is found in high concentration on the sunny parts of plants.

Post LabelLinus Pauling, a two-time Nobel Prize winner, spent a significant effort in promoting vitamin C in the prevention and treatment of disease.  He was scoffed at by the mainstream medical community. Now, there appears to be better acceptance of using vitamin C to treat disease. It is interesting to note that humans, unlike other mammals, do not make vitamin C. Goats are known to make large amounts of vitamin C each day.  A one hundred fifty-pound goat can make as much as 13,000 mg each day. I typically take one to two grams of vitamin C per day.  If my noise is running, I have found that it will stop in a few hours by taking a gram of vitamin C per hour.

Typical reference range for plasma vitamin C is 0.2 – 2 mg/dL or 11 – 114 µmol/L.  In the study, Dr. Raghavan found that oral supplementation of 5 mg of Metadichol per day raised the plasma vitamin C to or above high normal.  Speculation has been that Metadichol accomplishes this by reducing the requirement for vitamin C as the body gets healthier, recycles vitamin C, or turns on the gene responsible for producing vitamin C.  In any case, this case study shows the effectiveness of Metadichol in reducing disease.
Metadichol® Induced High Levels of Vitamin C: Case Studies
Raghavan PR* Metadichol-Induced-high VitaminC levels (link to paper)
Abstract
We recently reported that Metadichol® [1] brings about a three to four-fold increase in Vitamin C levels in patients without the use of Vitamin C supplementation. In this study of 6 patients who experienced a 5-12 fold increase in plasma Vitamin C levels higher than 80-100 u mol/L level which is the highest reported to date by oral supplementation at high doses of Vitamin C. Metadichol improved in these patients TSH levels, normalized High Blood pressure, fasting glucose levels, reduced eosinophil count, high triglycerides, body fat reduction and increased bone mass, normalized sodium levels, reducing high insulin levels, increased creatinine output in urine and also reducing of Red Cell Distribution width %. Metadichol thus serves as a surrogate for Vitamin C at doses of 5 mg per day as opposed to mega doses that are currently used.

Metadichol® Now Available in North America

Metadichol is now available in North America as an immune system spray and as a skin spray.  It is labeled as (link to site) Nano-Ojas.  Ojas is a word used in Ayurvedic medicine, the vital force that governs hormonal balance. The company has provided Nano-Ojas through an online site that was formed by Tinny S. Srinivasan and Nithasha S. Koukoumanos.  Mr. Srinivasan has forty years of experience in the aerospace industry and Ms. Koukoumanos has worked primarily with children with emotional and behavioral disorders.

Metadichol is a nano-emulsion of policosanol.  Policosanol is the waxy substances (long chain aliphatic alcohols) that are found in the highest concentrations on the sun-splashed portion of plants. As modern humans, we no longer chew the husk from grains and nuts, the rich source of policosanol.  The extreme tooth pressure required to break open the husk is not the normal experience of modern foods. This has removed a very valuable nutrient from our diet. Mothers knew the importance of chewing foods when they constantly admonished you to chew your food.  Now with modern processing, the food has been chewed for us, but unfortunately, most of the policosanol parts have been removed. Dr. P.R. Raghavan has solved this issue by providing policosanol as a small particle emulsion.

The policosanol in our diet over the ages has acted to boast our immune systems and enhances the action of other vital nutrients.  It has been found to act on over 700 genes that are responsible for disease. There are also many other genes that are responsible for general wellness as well as nuclear receptors that are orchestrated by policosanol. All of this has been confirmed through gene studies by Dr. Raghavan.

July Papers for Metadichol

Image

Dr. P. R. Raghavan has written two new papers for Metadichol. This again shows the diversity with which Metadichol acts.  Metadichol acts on hundreds of genes to allow the body to repair.

The first paper is about the only known substance to act for red blood cell distribution width improvement (RDW). It is believed that RDW is a marker for many types of autoimmune diseases.  Here is the summary for the paper.

 Abstract

Red blood cells originate in the bone marrow. Red cell distribution width (RDW) show sizes of circulating erythrocytes (RBC) and has been explored in several large clinical databases to be a robust marker of adverse clinical outcomes in patients. The prognostic value of RDW is seen in other conditions with end-organ dysfunction such as renal failure or. Elevated RDW levels are of significance in diseases such as kidney diseases. The high RDW levels are an indication of increased oxidative stress and closely related to the presence and poor prognosis of the disease. No known therapy exists that can normalize RDW levels. In this paper, we present here case studies using Metadichol®, that leads to normal RDW levels in patients with CKD and PKD.  Here is the link: RDW-paper

The second paper is about allowing vitamin C to be naturally produced in the body.  This is very unusual, but Dr. Raghavan believes that Metadichol activates the gene responsible for producing vitamin D.  This is based on the genes that are activated that were found in his gene studies.  Here is the summary for the paper.

Abstract

Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble antioxidant. Today we meet our requirements of vitamin C through consumption of fruits and vegetables or by supplementation. Homo sapiens cannot produce vitamin C like many other species that can convert glucose to vitamin C. The gene for enzyme production is dormant in humans. The gene, GULO, that we all carry converts glucose to Vitamin C. in other species but not in humans and primates. The open-label study showed Metadichol® raised levels of vitamin C by 3-fold, endogenously without supplementation of Vitamin C. Possible mechanisms for the increased Vitamin C levels through antioxidant pathways are presented. Metadichol® [1] is a nano-formulation of long chain alcohols derived from sugar cane. In addition to increased Vitamin C levels reduction in Potassium and uric acid, and decreased blood pressure and improvement in quality of life issues were also observed.  Here is the link to the paper: vitamiC-metadichol

The Leading Cause of Death—Pain

painR1It’s 3 AM and your body aches in relentless agony.  You’ve already had twelve hundred milligrams of ibuprofen and the pain continues.  Hot baths, cold baths, and nothing seems to give you relief.  The emotional pain begins as you realize that you will not be able to work and your family needs your income to survive.  As emotional pain and physical pain dance around your central nervous system, despair becomes your state of being.  The remedy is not prescription pain meds or street drugs.

Recent headlines screamed that the leading cause of death for persons under fifty is pain med abuse.  Having lived with pain since the late 1970s before overcoming it in the 2000s, I would say the leading cause of all death is PAIN.  Is it that opiates are being abused, or is it that there is so much pain that humans will do almost anything to relieve themselves of pain?  The signal that your body needs repair becomes worse than the underlying condition. As the pain continues the natural response of our body is to start shrinking the brain and other neural tissue. As the quality of life fails, emotional turmoil leads us into a state where death seems to be better than life.  Why have we come to this stage of pain?  Pain is the number one ailment in the US with 100 million people in some form of pain.

The cause of pain in the US has been the result of trying to maintain the largest segment of the economy as the medical industry.  To accomplish this feat, it has been necessary to manipulate society in many different areas.

  • The food supply has been changed so that there are many artificial chemicals that our bodies cannot handle. How food is processed is another abuse to our food supply that the body does not respond well to. This prevents our bodies from achieving the normal healing processes provided by food. When we don’t heal, chronic pain is the result.
  • We have been scared from the sun for over the last fifty years.  Vitamin D will damage your body and UV radiation will give you cancer.  This lie has led to much of our pain.  Not only does UV light provide many beneficial compounds when proper solar exposure is maintained, but also the other side of the visible spectrum or near infrared provides many healing benefits. This includes energy to our mitochondria for cellular healing.
  • Around the beginning of the Twentieth Century, funding for universities that taught patent medicine while not funding natural healing technologies became the way of American medicine.  This led us to find drugs sourced from natural compounds. To understand this, consider the natural anti-inflammatory salicylates that were modified to make aspirin or salicylic acid. Natural compounds were modified to make drugs and our bodies do not respond well to them.  Also, treating chronic pain with drugs instead of vitamins and minerals is just stupid. Congress even went as far as to say that you cannot advertise anything that is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease without going through the FDA’s drug process.  If you don’t drink water you will die.  According to the FDA, if you advertise that water will prevent death, it is a drug.
  •  Now as congress battles over healthcare, it is not about health, but sustaining the medical sector economy.  There is some ethics involved as failure of the economy could lead to pain.  One medical practice decided to start treating their patients with vitamins and minerals based on the huge amount of medical research.  The result for eight thousand patients was a reduction in office visits from four per patient per year to one visit per patient per year.  It does not take an accounting genius to determine that this was huge reduction in income.  Imagine the decline in the US economy if the entire population was given an adequate intake of vitamins and minerals.  With almost twenty percent of our economy in the medical sector, the US would plunge into recession.  Our congressmen are now having to balance the health of the economy with the health of the population.  What would you do?  Poor policy decision over the last century has put us into a very sad position.  If we modeled our health policies like the rest of the modernized countries, there would be a loss of over five million health insurance jobs and many medical and pharmaceutical jobs.  Congress has consistently decided in the past that the ill health of the population is better that a loss in the economy. The policies of Health and Human Services can be defined in three simple words: Markets before mandates.

In the decades of my chronic pain, I only survived, through the grace of God, by being able to read medical research papers on nutrition for health and apply the findings to my health.  Does everyone have this capability?  We have put our trust in institutions because we are told that America is the greatest country in the world.  It is a great country, but it has some very bad policies for health.  I have a friend that went into medical practice in the 1970s. He constantly complained that he had no solution for the aches and ill health of the aged.  Obviously, he had not been trained in nutritional solutions.  This is the general course of the medical practice today.

With the new development in research for mitochondrial (cellular energy) health, our understanding of how processed carbohydrates lead to poor health has increased significantly.  It seems that our ancient ancestors had a better understanding of how food heals us than our institutions of today.  If you wait until this becomes common practice of using foods for health, you most likely will be dead.  It will take many decades for our system to change. Over the last half century, we have been scared from the sun, told to use fats that were not healthy, substituted sugar for fats, and continued the use of drugs instead of vitamins and minerals.

To begin our journey of recovery, please consider eliminating flour from grains and all processed sugar that includes high fructose corn syrup.  Find a source from someone that has studied this for decades.  I have found Dr. Mercola to a have a firm grasp of nutrition for health.  His new book, Fat for Fuel, is very enlightening.  You may also want to subscribe to his daily newsletter. Don’t be alarmed as it is very complicated because of the constant barrage of bad information from our institutions. The Whole30 diet plan may be a good place for you to start. Here are the Whole30 rules. Here is what to expect in the first thirty days as you recover from processed foods. There are many other sources for diet like the paleo diet. Remodeling of Bone Length in Old Age

boneCan a bone increase in length after you have reached sixty years old? This happened to me. I was evaluated by x-ray with a shortened right leg of 3/4 inch in 2003 by an orthopedic surgeon and was verified in 2004 by another orthopedic surgeon. The second surgeon had operated on my low back for a ruptured disc in 1998 and 2003. I was prescribed an adjustment of my right shoe. A visit last week to the surgeon that performed my back surgery confirmed with x-ray that my legs are now normal equal length.

I had noticed over the last two years that there was minor pain in my left hip that became a noticeable limp. Just three weeks ago, I went to pick up the morning paper (I rushed out barefoot) and noticed that my gait was normal. I was confused. Had my right leg increased in length? The next morning on the way to the gym, I stopped at a Walmart and purchased a normal pair of gym shoes. My limp disappeared as I worked out. I made the appointment with the surgeon and found my legs are equal length.

If you are a reader of this blog, you know that I have successfully repaired my cartilage and required no more back surgery. This included a repair of stenosis through nutrition at C3-C4. The stenosis was causing severe sleep apnea as this is the location for the nerve to the lungs. This was accomplished with an increase of all vitamins and minerals. I had no idea that it could affect the bone growth plates to allow my bone length to remodel to my genetic map. It is interesting to note that over a ten month period in 2005 my height increased by approximately three inches. Imagine 23 vertebral discs and each increasing in thickness by about one tenth inch. The cartilage had repaired and freed me of disease.

I believe the remodeling of my right femur was from the increase of several significant factors for bone and cartilage health. This includes vitamin D3, vitamin A (from cod liver oil), methyl folate (not folic acid), gelatin for bone and cartilage protein, iodine, selenium (from Brazil nuts), manganese, sulfate, and magnesium as the key factors. The shoe lift worked just fine until 2014 or eleven years. The change started when I added iodine, selenium, gelatin, and sulfate. I added increased amounts of these in 2013 as I researched the need for cartilage repair. There may have been the factor of Metadichol as well. I started to supplement infrequently with nanoemulsion of policosanol in 2015. Based on the gene studies and intracellular receptor studies of nano-policosanol by Dr. Raghavan, this may have also had an effect.

What are the mechanisms of this action? I don’t have a clue. However, my thoughts from at least ten thousand hours of reading on nutrients has lead me to this belief, without describing actual mechanisms. The methyl folate along with B vitamins as cofactors (methylation cycle) leads to the increase of chondrocytes through stimulation of mesenchymal stem cells. I believe the methylation cycle is one of the most significant repair mechanisms of human physiology, but nothing works in isolation. Vitamin D3, vitamin A, iodine, and selenium act for differentiation of the chondrocytes in cartilage as well as the bone growth plate and the bone remodeling pathways. These same vitamins and minerals act in many mechanisms of repair for our organs. The addition of sulfate acts in many ways with the most important being detoxification, gut lining repair, neuron development, bone mineralization, and cartilage stability. The addition of gelatin assures that the necessary proteins are available. The result, bone and cartilage repair. Iodine and selenium are very significant for hormonal control through the thyroid and associated endocrine actions. With iodine deficiency during pregnancy, the worst case is cretinism and associated bone deformity and mental capacity loss. WHO says that iodine deficiency is the leading cause of mental disorders.

I tried to keep the intake of vitamins and minerals at levels that have been described for health as stated by many research papers. I tried not to exceed levels that are known to cause damage. An example is vitamin D3. I consume 10,000IU/d whether I spend time in the sun or not.  This tends to keep my serum vitamin D level at high normal of 60 to 90 ng/ml of 25(OH)D.  This is much higher than the current government suggestion of 600 IU per day of vitamin D3.  My intake of iodine is much higher than the suggested 150 mcg/d. I take either Iodoral or Lugolâ’s solution for an intake of 12.5 mg/d of iodine/iodide combination. This is one hundred times higher than the recommendation but is consistent with the intake of the Japanese population. There is no suggested intake for sulfate and this is a huge error in medical science. I consume 3 to 4 grams of MSM per day.

I am not suggesting that you try any of this. Research in multivariate vitamins and minerals is very limited as modern science continues in its fallacy of one cure for one disease. Vitamin D3 for only bone health is an example of one that has gotten us into extremely poor health outcomes. Who knows, maybe God has stepped in to help only me recover after three decades of chronic pain and illness. Now at 66 YO, I am grateful every day for this blessing and will continue to communicate with you how to live without drugs for chronic illness and pain. Was my bone-length increasing a miracle?  It certainly is an answer to prayer.  On this Pentecost Sunday when the Holy Spirit first came to Christians two thousand years ago, I am praying for your health, both spiritual and physical. –Pandemic Survivor

Hypertension – Reduced with A Food – Metadichol

Our diets over the last fifty years have been shifted away from fat and toward carbohydrates with the belief that higher amounts of fat were causing cardiovascular disease (CVD). As this move toward higher density carbs occurred, blood pressure also increased along with the issues of higher incidence of CVD and stroke. In the following study, a food substance, that is typically tossed in the processing of sugar cane, was found to reduce blood pressure and c-reactive protein (CRP) and increased circulating vitamin C. The paper describes the action of nano-policosanol as acting along vitamin D pathways.

Here is my blood pressure as I write this at 4 AM–not bad.Hypertension w

Dr. P.R. Raghavan has given us Metadichol, a nano-policosanol, to reduce blood pressure.  Policosanol, as long chain fatty acids, is found in high concentration on sugar cane and the husk of seeds.  Here is the paper that was just published for a sixty-week open label study. The remarkable things are that blood pressure is reduced in only three weeks, the production of vitamin C in humans, and reduced CRP, an indication of reduced inflammation.

Systolic and Diastolic BP Control in Metabolic Syndrome Patients with Metadichol® a Novel Nano Emulsion Lipid – Journal of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Therapy Case Report Volume 5 Issue 2 – May 2017 DOI: 10.19080/JOCCT.2017.05.555660 Metadichol-Hypertension

To combat high-blood pressure the normal course is to:

  • Eat a healthy diet
  • Regular exercise
  • No nicotine use as it shrinks arteries
  • Limit alcohol
  • Maintain a healthy weight

The above is the typical verbiage that you get from your doctor. I wonder just how many times the physicians say that on any given day. It is apparent that a healthy lifestyle is everything. Of course, government and its agencies have failed us in defining a healthy diet. The common American diet was defined to promote the economy. If you don’t believe this then ask yourself this question: Why do we spend almost twice as much on healthcare as we do on food?

Poor eating habits are the cause of many chronic diseases.  Hypertension falls in this category. The first time my realization that diet was critical to controlling blood pressure occurred when I was reading “Protein Power” by Drs. Michael and Mary Eades.  They warned of blood pressure dropping significantly with the reduction of carbohydrates. This raises the question of our health actions over the last fifty years. Reduce the amount of fat and increase sugar?  Sugar has typically not been considered as dangerous, however, I believe it’s the worst policy we could have made. Linus Pauling (interesting that this is the vitamin C guy and Metadichol helps the body produce vitamin C) showed in the 1970s that sugar was more responsible for increased cholesterol than fat through his studies with prisoners.

  • The real solution to maintain a normal blood pressure is to eliminate sugar and flour from your diet. Grains were not meant to be finely divided for consumption by our physiology.  Sugar is not meant to be consumed outside of its normal occurrence in vegetables and fruits. This is what is meant when we are told to consume a healthy diet.

Metadichol will help maintain a lower blood pressure. Metadichol acts in many ways in controlling our biological actions. The beauty of Metadichol is that this food substance has no known side effects. We no longer consume policosanol that is found in the husk of seeds. It appears that our body needs these long chain fatty alcohols. Metadichol is taking the husk into a modern factory and chewing them for us. Remember the words of your mother: Chew your food!  Of course, if you don’t have the right part of the food to be chewed, factory chewing by others is okay.

The irony is that nature gave us policosanol on the plants that are high in sugar, and we throw way nature’s protection from sugar.  We then concentrate the sugar through modern processes and consume it in great amounts.  Results are devastating to our health. We now develop a substance that counteracts the effects of sugar, that nature originally meant us to consumed with the plant.  Sugar drives up serum cholesterol more so than fat. The result of a high sugar diet without the protection of policosanol is CVD and stroke. More irony, the original intent of the Dr. Raghavan was to improve the way policosanol reduced cholesterol as shown by the Cubans. Nature is laughing at us.

One of the very interesting findings in this study was the increase in vitamin C. The paper indicates that humans made vitamin C as part of our physiology.  At some point, one of the three enzymes that makes vitamin C from sugar was no longer produced.  Metadichol appears to turn on the gene responsible for producing this enzyme and higher vitamin C levels happen. This means reduced inflammation, as indicated by a reduction in CRP, and the possibility of a longer lifespan with less disease.

This is really-exciting stuff. The possibility of increased life span with reduced inflammation and disease through a food substance that can easily be supplemented with no side effects–Metadichol.

We took the chewing of grains into the milling operations to help foods be easier to consume. Sugar was concentrated through industrial processes as our body craves this substance. It should also be noted that sugar was concentrated to help in the production of alcohol–another craved substance. Both things, milled grains and concentrated sugar, made food easier to consume and have significant impact on our economy, but they are not healthy. By not being healthy, we again have made a significant impact on our economy with increased healthcare and insurance. And, the government said, “It is good.”  –Pandemic Survivor

Healing with Infrared Light

SunI have truly been amazed at the healing power of infrared light. It is not that I have some special coherent light device made with the technology of LEDs. It is just a plain ole heat lamp otherwise known as a brooder lamp for raising chicks. I wrote about the use of near infrared for healing back pain. In that article, I gave you links to the science of how it works and how to use the light. I believe the major benefit is adding cellular energy (ATP) to allow the natural healing processes to take place quicker. Here are three brief stories that I have seen firsthand with use infrared.

I had sprained my right wrist very severally.  I was not able to bend my hand passed vertical to my arm.  Normally a sprain like this would take days or weeks to heal.  I exposed the hand and wrist to the infrared light for about twenty minutes.  I held it close enough that I could feel the heat but not close enough to burn. During the exposure, a bright red line developed between my hand and wrist where the tissue had torn.  There was also a red spot that developed further up my wrist that was about an inch in diameter. I assumed this was injured tissue. The next morning I was able to have full use of my hand, but the wrist was still sore. By the second day, there was no indication of injury at all or the use of my hand had returned to normal.

I regularly have coffee in the morning, after spending an hour at the gym, with the folks at McDonalds. A welder sometimes joins us before he goes out for his work day.  He came in one morning with a limp. I asked what was wrong.  He described a knee injury. His doctor told him to stay out of work for two weeks to allow it to heal.  I suggested that he try the light.  ir-light-setuprHe told me that he had lots of this type of heat lamp as sometimes he used it to preheat the metal before welding. Two days later, he came in for coffee and was very excited. He said he was going back to work. He described his knee as no pain and normal function.

A family member had hernia surgery several months ago. He did not rest after the surgery to allow the wound to properly heal. He has a significant amount of scar tissue. If he stays on his feet for any length of time, he starts having severe pain. This happen recently during a visit with him. He had come back from our event for the afternoon and retired to his easy chair with a blanket pulled over this body. I went to the local Ace Hardware store and got a 250-watt heat lamp. I was amazed at the selection of sizes–farm country. The bulb was a GE. GE has caught on to the use of the lamp. It had directions on the side of the box that said normal exposure for personal body use was 20 to 30 minutes.

He exposed the scar tissue for about twenty minutes. A couple of hours later, I noticed he was down in the floor playing with his children. I asked if his pain was better. I was amazed at his description. Now understand, he has had this pain problem for months. He described his pain as a seven before using the heat lamp. At two hours later, he described his pain as a one–amazing.

I really don’t have a clue as to how this works other than what I described in my opening. However, you can bet that I will have an infrared light for my aches, pains, and injuries.  Scaring us from the sun over the last fifty years has been a serious health error.  –Pandemic Survivor
